The Cut

A chuck eye steak, sometimes referred to as the "poor man's ribeye," is a cut of beef that comes from the upper shoulder area of the cow, specifically the fifth rib of the chuck primal cut. It is located near the ribeye, which gives it a similar flavor and tenderness.

The Preparation:

Chuck Eye Steak are popular for grilling, broiling, or seared over high heat. Cook them at a medium temperature (around 375°F or 190°C) for 4-5 minutes per side. Avoid pressing down on the patty while cooking to retain the juices.
